SHOWTIME AS THE STAR HOSTS STARRY EVENING AT PAVILION

KEE@FSWMAG.COM

THE STAR HOSTED A COCKTAIL AND CANAPES EVENING ON 8 OCTOBER AT THE PAVILION KL. SPONSORED BY THE STAR, MALAYSIA'S UNRIVALLED LEADING DAILY, THE DECADENT NIGHT WAS IN CONJUNCTION WITH 'THE ART OF TIME' WATCH EXHIBITION.

Organised by Swiss Watch Gallery, 'The Art of Time' runs from 4 till 14 October at Pavilion Centre Court so make time for timely timepieces! Admission is free.

The highlight was a parody on a radio talkshow presented by Capital FM 88.9 which happens to be owned by The Star Media Group.

It was billed as 'Confessions of Datin X and Y---the Unaired Interview'.

Datin X was played to seductive perfection by the sexy and smouldering (too bad she is married!) Xandria Ooi. Datin Y was outrageousness personified Joanne Kam Po Po while the radio host was Asha Gill.

Xandria Ooi wore a stunning Michael Kors red gown as scarlet as Scarlett O'Hara's passion with a cut-out at the back that made wearing bra impossible. I tried but could not see Xandria's nipples so her dress was within the law. It cost a whopping RM 75,000 too! "You mean RM 7,500?" I asked Xandria who, after all, did not major in Mathematics. She replied indignantly, "No, RM 75,000 as in same price as a car. If you add RM 25,000 then it becomes RM 100,000." So she studied Arithmetic at least.

Joanne Kam Po Po, having a larger than life body with matching persona, wore a custom made zebra dress while Asha Gill was her usual unglam self. I don't ever remember seeing her in long, flowing locks, stilettos, make-up and sequinned gowns. But you don't get to see a radio talk host but then why were Xandria and Joanne dressed to kill and thrill in heels?

Asha sat in the middle as the two Datins bitched and clawed ar each other as pussies tend to do in close quarters. Both boasted of rich husbands who, as time went on, appeared to own the same sort of properties and have similar personality traits and finally when the husband of Datin X arrived to pick her, he also happened to be the husband of Datin Y aka Joanne Kam Po Po.

Of course both cuckolded women thrashed him with their designer handbags and stormed off, hand in hand. Maybe to start a lesbian relationship in a deliciously wicked twist. Why not?

About Glen Grant
Glen Grant is a Single malt whisky with a distinctively crisp, fresh taste that has made it one of the
world’s favourites. It was founded in 1840 by two former illegal distillers, John and James Grant. James Grant also known as “The Major” – the son of the founder, also James, was renowned for being a legendary innovator, socialiser and traveler.

He was the first man in the Highlands to own a car. Glen Grant was the first distillery to have electric
light. And, more importantly, The Major was the first to do away with the crude pot stills in use at the
time, replacing them with the tall slender stills and purifiers, which create the fresh malty flavours and
clear colour that defines Glen Grant whisky to this day.

Since the era of “The Major”, the distillery has become one of the most famous in the world. In 2006
Gruppo Campari acquired Glen Grant, recognising in its pedigree, its production process, its reputation
and its international standing that it ranks amount the world’s finest distilleries.

Glen Grant is the only Scotch whisky distillery that bears the name of its founders and is one of the top
selling single malt whiskies in the world today. The naturally pure essence of Glen Grant is reflected in
the woodland setting of the distillery itself; where dappled sunlight, pure Highland air and fresh spring
water come together in a celebration of nature’s delicate and complex character.

Here, the vision of the founding family lives on in every mouthful of the exquisitely nurtured whisky the
Distillery produces; to ensure that Glen Grant is about pure enjoyment. No poetics. No pretensions. Just
authentic, smooth-tasting single malt whisky that’s ready to be enjoyed right now. Year after year.
