Malaysia To Host The Miss Tourism International 2013 World Final To Promote ‘Visit Malaysia Year 2014’. 

Malaysia will play host to the 17th Miss Tourism International 2013 World Final to be held from the 8th Dec to 3rd January 2014 with the coronation night held on 31st December 2013 at the Putrajaya Marriot Hotel & Spa with a participation of 60 Countries from around the World.

The Miss Tourism International World Final will create history in Malaysia as the Largest Participation ever since the inaugural event was held in Kuching, Sarawak in 1994.   
                                                             
The Miss Tourism International is a 24-days event, starting from the delegates’ arrival to Kuala Lumpur on 08th December 2013 and departing on 2nd January 2014. Many exciting promotional activities and visits will be plan prior to the World Final to be held on 31st December 2014.    
                               
The MTI World Final which is held on the New Year’s Eve with the participation of 60 countries Miss Tourism International delegates will be the largest New Year countdown event to welcome a brand new year.

This event is supported by Ministry of Tourism & Culture and Tourism Malaysia, and the Minister Of Tourism & Culture, YB Dato’ Seri Mohamed Nazri bin Abdul Aziz is the Guest of Honor for the World final.

 Malaysia will once again play host to the Miss Tourism International (MTI) 2013 World Final to be held on 31st December 2013 for the 17th consecutive successful  years.  
With the theme “Bringing the World to Malaysia”, this year MTI World Final will see a total of 60 countries taking part in the event thus making it the LARGEST EVER participation of countries since the inaugural MTI World Final held in Kuching, Sarawak in 1994.

Miss Tourism International is a homegrown title initiated by Datuk Danny Ooi and to date the title is franchised to more than 80 Countries. This prestigious World Final had seen the participation of more than 500 Miss Tourism Delegates from around the world in Malaysia since 1994.

The Miss Tourism International was awarded the Country ‘Best Brand’ 2012 – 2013 at BRAND LAURETTEE award Ceremony this year. The World Final of Miss Tourism International held on 31st December annually is unique in a way as it is the only New Year’s Eve Pageant in the World. It is also a platform to promote Tourism, Culture and Friendship through the event.

The newly crowned Miss Tourism Malaysia 2013, Thaarah Ganesan will be representing the country in the 2013 MTI World Final. The Miss Tourism Malaysia 2013 was the 1st beauty pageant competition participated by the 18 year old medical student.

The Miss Tourism International World Final is a 23 days event starting from the arrival of 60 countries delegates from 8th December and culminates to the crowning of the new Miss Tourism International 2013/2014 on 31st December 2013.  

Malaysia is gearing with various tourism promotional activities to welcome visitors in the celebration of VISIT MALAYSIA YEAR 2014 and the Miss Tourism International 2013 World Final held on 31st December is a perfect start off for VMY 2014 celebration. 

In conjunction with the 2012 World Final held last year, an International Friendship Garden was created at Putrajaya through the planting of Trees by the 56 Countries Miss Tourism International Delegates and part of their itinerary included the tour of Putrajaya scenic spots and a ride on Cruise Putrajaya. This event was organized by Perbadanan Putrajaya.This year; the 2013 MTI delegates will also make an official visit to Putrajaya on 15th December 2013.

Prior to the World Final Night, the Miss Tourism International Delegates will be engaging in many promotional programs including Official Visits to selected States to promote VMY 2014. Other interesting activities such as Car Parade, Tree Planting, Batik Chanting, Charity Programs and Visits to popular tourist spots are part of this year’s itinerary.

More than 1000 people will be witnessing The 2013 MTI World Final including VIPs, Celebrities and media from local and international. The top 5 winners of Miss Tourism International 2013 are entitled to receive cash prices, crown, trophies, vouchers and scholarships worth of RM500, 000.00 by Asia Metropolitan University (AMU).
