 Shangri-La Hotel, Kuala Lumpur offers a lavish Weekend Buffet Brunch at Zipangu every Saturday and Sunday and during public holidays.

A wide selection of traditional and contemporary Japanese dishes is laid out on the sushi, tempura and teppanyaki counters of this Tokyo-style brasserie.

Guests may begin brunch with Crabmeat, Seaweed and Cucumber in Vinegar Sauce, Sautéed Burdock Root and Pickled Yam in Soy Sauce.  They may have their fill of Sashimi from salmon belly, scallop, oysters, yellowtail, sweet shrimp, tuna and butterfish, octopus and squid.

Varieties of Maki Sushi (Rolled Sushi) include Spicy Tuna Roll, Soft-Shell Crab Maki, Salmon Roll and Salted Kelp Roll.

Unagi Kabayaki or Grilled Eel, Cheese Risotto Oyaki, Simmered Winter Melon with Minced Chicken, Teppanyaki Lamb, Grilled Pacific Saury and Crab Omelette with Sweet Sauce are also available.

Prawns and Vegetable Tempura and Gyoza are fresh from the fryer.  Chef’s specials include Foie Gras Fried Rice, Cod and Kimchi Soup, and Grilled Prawns with Garlic and Breadcrumbs.

Guests may end with a slice of sweet, juicy rock melon and assorted pastries.

The Weekend Buffet Brunch at Zipangu is priced at MYR110++ for adults and MYR55++ for children.  It is available from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
